Таке рішення ухвалили на сесії Чернівецької міської ради у четвер, 26.03.15.

Це рішення стало фактично першим реальним наслідком зустрічі міського голови Олексія Каспрука з головою обласного відділення НОК України Іваном Гешком та його колегами-олімпійцями Наталкою Лупу і Миколою Лабовським (на зустрічі був і директор облцентру «Спорт для всіх» Георгій Мазурашу).

Депутати підтримали пропозицію виділити 50 тис. грн. на матеріальну допомогу для учасників Олімпійських ігор 2012 р.: Тетяна Дорохова (стрільба з лука), Микола Лабовський (легка атлетика), Наталія Лупу (легка атлетика), Лідія Січенікова (стрільба з лука). Зрозуміло, що мінус відрахування на руки олімпійці-2012 отримають десь по 10 тис. грн., що, як зазначає «головний олімпієць» Буковини Іван Гешко – теж чудова допомога для вирішення поточних проблем з підготовкою (вітаміни, екіпірування і таке інше), а також, що не менш важливо, – це підтвердження того, що міська влада готова не лише на словах підтримувати провідних спортсменів.
