Богатирська Ліга чемпіонів-2011 стартувала «льодовим» етапом «Iceman» у Фінляндії, де Україну представляв чернівчанин Костянтин Ільїн. Буковинський богатир встановив рекорд України у вправі «Колода».

Як розповів sportbuk.com Костянтин Ільїн, змагання відбулися у два дні в умовах суворої зими. До змагальної програми входили вісім вправ: «Прогулянка фермера», «Коло Конана», «Завантаження бочок» (1 день), «Підйом людей на лижах», «Дедліфт», «Лог-ліфт»), «Тяга вантажівки» і «Лог Хаус Керрі» (тобто «принеси дрова додому», 2 день).

«Бочки завантажували на поверхні замерзлого озера, – розповідає Костянтин Ільїн. – Було дуже холодно. Особливо на другий день, коли змагання почалися на горі. Останні дві вправи виконували прямо на центральній площі містечка Куусамо. У тязі я потягнув спину, тому в кінцівці не вдалося показати результати, на які розраховував. Після першого дня я йшов п’ятим з відставанням в одне очко від майбутнього переможця литовця Жидрунаса Савіцкаса, який був четвертим. Організатори вже запросили мене на наступні аналогічні змагання у 2012 році».

Савіцкас виграв «Iceman» удруге поспіль. Наш Костянтин Ільїн минулого року був третім. Цього разу, з травмою, фінішував п’ятим серед 13 стронгменів з Європи, США, Канади і навіть Африки.

Приємно відзначити, що у вправі «Лог-ліфт» («Колода») чернівчанин встановив рекорд України, піднявши снаряд вагою 140 кг (з землі, без підставок) 7 разів.
