У суботу, 22.11.14, відбулися зональні змагання в залік обласної спартакіади школярів.

Одна з підгруп гостювала у Новоселиці. Там за єдину путівку до фінальної четвірки боролись господарки, тобто збірна школярок Новоселицького району, чернівчани та представниці Сторожинеччини.

Доля першого місця фактично вирішилась у першому ж двобої, в якому новосельчанки ледь не сотворили сенсацію. По ходу зустрічі вони вигравали у збірної Чернівців (першу чверть вели 10:2), але дотягнути до перемоги не змогли – чернівецькі баскетболістки, навіть виступаючи майже другим складом (провідні гравці вирушили на тур ВЮБЛ), все-таки зуміли переломити хід поєдинку і дотиснули суперниць з різницею у 7 очок.

Новосельчанки, у  свою чергу, перемогли сторожинчанок і посіли 2 місце в підгрупі.

Цікаво, що у складі збірної Новоселиччини виступала і лауреатка конкурсу краси «Льодова Королева 2013» (Перша віце-міс) Тетяна Рогожа, яка є капітаном своєї команди.

Як повідомив головний спеціаліст Чернівецького обласного відділення Комітету з фізичного виховання та спорту МОН України Віктор Нікорич, у Кельменці перше місце і путівку до фінальної частини Новодністровськ, у Вижниці – Кіцманський район, у Глибоці – Хотинський район.

Фінал чотирьох відбудеться у суботу, 29.11.14, з 10:00 у ЗОШ №2 м. Чернівці.
