Уперше у Чернівцях відбувся чемпіонат України з маунтенбайку Eliminator (нова олімпійська дисципліна), між заїздами якого на площі Філармонії «поганяли» і юні любителі велоспорту.

Почесними гостями звітних національних змагань були, зокрема, начальник управління молоді та спорту облдержадміністрації Богдан Вітовський, заслужений майстер спорту зі стрільби з лука, а віднедавна і заступник голови обласного відділення НОК України Тетяна Дорохова та ще одна лучниця – майстер спорту, професор, доктор наук Наталія Якимчук.

Дитяча міні-велогонка, організована обласним центром «Спорт для всіх» та обласною фежераціїю велоспорту (за підтримки СК «Гешко» і обласного відділення НОК України) принесла, як кажуть, «море емоцій» маленьким чернівчанам, які відчули себе практично повноцінними учасниками змагань. Як і обіцяли організатори, усі учасники отримали презенти. Про солодощі для юних велосипедистів подбала Наталія Якимчук. А міні-церемонію нагородження провела титулована Тетяна Дорохова.
