Перший у Чернівцях клас олімпійського і професійного спорту відкрито на факультеті фізичної культури та здоров’я людини Чернівецького національного університету імені Юрія Федьковича.

Символічно, що «Олімпійський клас» урочисто відкрили олімпійський чемпіон 1980 року з плавання Сергій Фесенко, бронзовий призер Олімпіади 2004 року з плавання Андрій Сердінов та кращий спортсмен України 2006 р. Іван Гешко, який з 23.09.14 є і головою обласного відділення НОК України. До зіркових гостей, звісно, приєднався і декан факультету Ярослав Зорій.

Спершу було перерізано символічну стрічку, після чого гості та студенти зайшли в новий облаштований клас, який обладнаний новими мультимедійними засобами для навчання майбутніх фахівців сфери фізичної культури та спорту.

У класі також є плакати з інформацією про історію, сучасний стан всього олімпійського руху в Україні та в світі, а також стенд, присвячений олімпійцям Буковини (використані матеріали SportBuk.com), де наші олімпійці будуть залишати свої автографи.

Іван Гешко передав нову літературу для найспортивнішого факультету Буковини.

Клас відкрито за допомогою факультету фізичної культури та здоров’я людини, кафедри теоретичних основ і методики фізичного виховання, обласного відділення НОК України та обласного відділення Олімпійської академії України.
