У Чернівцях відбувся перший Меморіальний міні – футбольний турнір, присвяченого пам’яті екс –гравця чернівецької «Буковини» Юрія Лепестова, який тривалий час працював тренером ДЮСШ â„–1. Як повідомив головний суддя спортивного форуму Віктор Кошура, змагання відбувалися у двох вікових групах: 1998 – 1999 Ñ€.н. та 2000 – 2001 Ñ€.н.

У молодшій віковій групі перемогу виборювали шість команд, яких було поділено на дві підгрупи. У підгрупі «А» виступали такі колективи, як «Рома» (ДЮСШ №1), ЗНЗ №27, ДЮСШ (Глибока), а ось у підгрупі «Б» змагалися команди «Дружба» (ДЮСШ №1), «Сорбонна» (СДЮСШ «Буковина»), ДЮСШ (Новоселиця). У підсумку переможцем турніру стала команда «Сорбонна» (СДЮСШ «Буковина»). На другій сходинці розташувалися гравці ДЮСШ (Глибока), а на третій – «Рома» (ДЮСШ №1).

Кращими гравцями у віковій групі 2000 – 2001 р.н. визнали: воротаря Юрія Лебединського («Сорбонна», СДЮСШ «Буковина»), захисника Василя Козьму («Рома», ДЮСШ №1). Найкращим бомбардиром змагань став Валентин Козачук (ДЮСШ, Глибока), а гравцем – Павло Молотков («Рома», ДЮСШ №1).

Щодо вікової групи 1998 – 1999 Ñ€.н., то тут переможцем став колектив ДЮСШ â„–1 – 98. Друге місце зайняла команда СДЮСШ «Буковина» – 99. Трійку кращих замкнули представники «Дружби» (ДЮСШ â„–1). Кращі гравці змагань: воротар – Богдан Карпюк (СДЮСШ «Буковина» – 99), захисник – Дмитро Клим (СДЮСШ «Буковина» – 98), нападник – Богдан Кокошко («Дружба», ДЮСШ â„–1). Найкращим гравцем змагань визнано Олександра Гапея (ДЮСШ â„–1 -98).

Турнір відбувався під патронатом секретаря Чернівецької міської ради Віталія Михайлішина та ФСК «Буковина».
