Сім нагород вибороли чернівецькі спортсмени на відкритій першості Івано-Франківської області з тайського боксу (муай-тай), яка відбулася 10-11.12.11 у сусідньому обласному центрі.

У змаганнях взяло участь 120 спортсменів з Одеси, Полтави, Львова, Івано-Франківська та Чернівців.

Буковину представляли сім спортсменів. І всі вони піднялися на п’єдестал пошани:

Олександр Каліненко (до 81 кг) – 1 місце;

Денис Карча (до 54 кг) – 1 місце;

Касьян Старінець (до 36 кг) – 2 місце;

Андрій Щепановський (до 51 кг) – 2 місце;

Тарас Пижик (до 64,5 кг) – 2 місце;

Сергій Танасійчук (до 71 кг) – 2 місце;

Євген Іванюк (до 57 кг) – 3 місце.

Усі наші призери тренуються в клубі «Атлант» під керівництвом Володимира Луніна.

Зазначимо, 3.12.11 також в Івано-Франківську на відкритій першості області з кікджитсу (синтез боксу, кікбоксингу та боротьби) чернівецька команда виборола 5 золотих, 4 срібні та одну бронзову медаль.

Усі ці успіхи слід зарахувати до активу Чернівецької обласної федерації кікбоксингу, яку представляють названі вище спортсмени та досвідчений тренер Володимир Лунін.

Очолює федерацію Валерій Іванович Долгий. Він є випускником Вінницького педінституту (факультет фізвиховання, спеціалізація – дзю-до, самбо). Валерій Іванович сам займався єдиноборствами. У 1990 році він виконав норматив кандидата у майстри спорту СССР з боротьби дзю-до. А у 1996 р. зупинився за крок до п’єдесталу пошани на Чемпіонаті України з рукопашного бою серед силових структур.
