«Алею дружби» посадили 29.11.11 біля готелю «Буковина» у Чернівцях представники збірних України та США з боксу, які 1 грудня зійдуться у матчевій зустрічі у Центрі розваг «Панорама-Чернівці».

 

Ініціатива щодо спільної посадки дерев виникла, можна сказати, спонтанно під час спілкування українських та американських боксерів у готелі «Буковина». Обидві сторони відзначили теплий прийом, який їм влаштував депутат Чернівецької міської ради Валерій Чинуш, і вирішили на знак подяки посадити разом «Алею дружби» перед очолюваним ним готелем «Буковина».

Наставник збірної США Кен Портер зізнався, що він вражений тією приємною атмосферою, в якій вони опинилися у Чернівцях: «Матч ще не розпочався, ми лише трохи побули тут, а у нас вже є велике бажання повернутися сюди ще. Ми вже встигли помітити, що це дуже гарне місто. І умови для проживання в готелі «Буковина» чудові. Сподіваюсь, ми зможемо потішити місцевих шанувальників боксу цікавою боротьбою на рингу».

Технічний директор Федерації боксу України Геннадій Вайнер, у свою чергу, зазначив: «Ми лише трішки поспілкувалися з колегами з США, але я вже відчуваю їхню позитивну енергетику і дружелюбність. На рингу ми суперники, а поза ним – друзі. Тим більше після того, як разом попрацювали лопатами («сміється – авт.). Сподіваюсь, це не останній наш матч у Чернівцях, тож під час наступних будемо разом доглядати нашу «Алею дружби», яку ми подарували готелю «Буковина» і Валерію Чинушу. Велике спасибі Валерію Миколайовичу. Збірна України не перший раз у Чернівцях і він завжди влаштовує нам дуже теплий прийм. Ми справді почуваємось тут як вдома».

Бронзова призерка Кубку світу-2011 Тіка Хемінгуей зазначила, що в стані збірної США панує бойовий настрій і, попри товариський характер зустрічі, вони прагнутимуть обов’язково перемогти.

Триразовий чемпіон Європи Денис Лазарєв та срібний призер Чемпіонату світу Роман Капітоненко погодилися, що боротьба буде цікавою, але напівжартома порадили гостям з-за океану не поспішати святкувати перемогу наперед.

Прем’єрний матч Україна – США у Чернівцях відбувається, нагадаємо, під патронатом губернатора Михайла Папієва і за підтримки депутата міської ради Валерія Чинуша.
