Подвійним тріумфом загально-освітньої школи №22 завершилась першість Чернівців з баскетболу 2011 р. серед школярів 9-11 класів. У цій віковій групі сильнішими виявилися і юнаки, і дівчата із ЗОШ №22.

Серед юнаків, як повідомив викладач фізвиховання ЗОШ №2 Едуард Амосов,  змагалися 22 команди загальноосвітніх навчальних закладів міста. На першому етапі вони у чотирьох підгрупах розігрували по одній путівці до фіналу чотирьох. Призову трійкуутворили ЗОШ №22 (тренер – Андрій Прохніцький), гімназія №5 (Петро Бежан) та ЗОШ №6 (Дмитро Супрович). За крок до призового місця зупинилися представники ЗОШ №14 (Сергій Предол).

У дівчат перші три місця серед 14-ти команд дісталися ЗОШ №22 (Руслан Чехімський), ЗОШ №2 (Едуард Амосов) та ЗОШ №39 (Ярослав Лясота). На четвертій позиції у фіналі залишилася ЗОШ №28.

Фінальна частина в обох номінаціях гостювала у ЗОШ №22.

Сьогодні, 21.11.11, стартував груповий етап у середній віковій групі (7-9 класи). Тут також з кожної з чотирьох груп по одній команді виходить до фіналу. І вже зараз можна сміливо спрогнозувати, що деякі традиційно сильні в баскетболі школи за медалі боротися не зможуть, оскільки, приміром, в підгрупі, яка грає у ЗОШ №2 (юнаки), зійшлися гімназія №5, ЗОШ №2 та ЗОШ №6, кожна з яких могла претендувати на призове місце.
