Як ми вже повідомляли, у с. Бояни протягом 28 квітня – 1 травня проходив VII міжнародний турнір з боксу пам’яті воїна-інтернаціоналіста Івана Боти. Три дні безкомпромісних поєдинків на рингу не залишили байдужими жодного, хто мав бажання та можливість відвідати Палац культури с. Бояни.

І знову свій фах підтвердили два буковинських тренери – В. Ротар (СК «Боян-Колос» с. Бояни) і Г. Соловйов (ДЮСШ м. Чернівці), вихованці яких здобули відповідно 6 та 2 перших місць на цих змаганнях. Блискуче виступили й дончани під керівництвом відомого тренера Володимира Балясова, що пройшли крізь сито двох відбіркових раундів та продемонстрували бокс найвищого гатунку.

Відзначимо, що кубками за кращі техніку, тактику, бій, а також за волю до перемоги були нагороджені С. Дєдов (Чернівці), Д. Гиза та І. Лазар (Бояни), Г. Жуган і М. Піца (Румунія), Т. Макаров, Р. Чубей і Д. Черняк (Донецьк), а також Д. Рожко (Білорусь).

Вже традиційно під час турніру виборювалася й командна першість і також традиційно переможницею в цьому командному заліку стала збірна Чернівецької області. Друге місце посіла збірна Румунії, а третіми стали боксери з Прикарпаття.
