Три нагороди здобули представники Буковини на першості України з боксу серед школярів у Шостці Сумської обл. Призери і ще один буковинець отримали запрошення на збір по підготовці до Чемпіонату Європи серед школярів.

Єдину золоту медаль виборов Максим Крупка з Шипинців Кіцманського району. Вихованець Івана Собка і Андрія Грудея переміг у категорії до 50 кг. Максим впевнено виграв всі три бої – всі судді віддавали йому перевагу.

Ще дві буковинські нагороди – бронзового гатунку. Відзначилися Андрій Гайко (1997 р. н., ОСК «Авангард», тренер – Володимир Палій) у категорії до 44,5 кг і Михайло Морар (СК «Олімпія», Шаміль Мантов, В. Москалюк) у категорії до 52 кг.

А ось Степан Грекул з Шипинців до призової зони у категорії до 54 кг не дотягнув не без «допомоги» рефері. У поєдинку проти хмельничанина наш земляк відправив було суперника у нокдаун, але «добити» його після відновлення бою арбітр не дав, допомігши «зайвими» паузами відійти і уникнути дострокової поразки. А суддівські записки, як не дивно, виявилися не на користь буковинця.

Утім, за словами Андрія Грудея, Степана, як і названих трьох буковинських призерів, запросили на навчально-тренувальний збір по підготовці до Євро серед школярів, який розпочнеться 4 квітня в Донецьку. А з 9 травня у Коломиї відбудеться турнір сильніших, за підсумками якого і буде сформована збірна для участі у Чемпіонаті Європи серед школярів з 7 по 16 липня 2011 р. в Грозному (Росія).
