Заключного дня змагань на Чемпіонаті Європи з легкої атлетики в приміщенні в Парижі (Франція) 6.03.11 серед представників Буковини виступала лише Наталія Лупу (ЦОП, СК «Гешко», офіційний партнер – готель «Буковина») – в естафеті 4х400 м. Новоселицька чернівчанка прийняла естафету п’ятою, а передала четвертою. Але втрутитися у розподіл призових місць українкам не вдалося.

Враховуючи те, що Ганна Тітімець (Дніпропетровськ) і Наталія Лупу у підсумковому протоколі на Євро-2011 розташувалися на 8 і 9 позиціях, а до естафетної команди входили також чемпіонка України і приміщенні Дар’я Приступа та лідер нашої збірної на цій дистанції Антоніна Єфремова (Донецьк), можна було сподіватися на високе місце в естафеті 4х400 м.

Лідерство у фіналі естафети прогнозовано одразу захопили фаворитки росіянки. Ганна Тітімець передала естафетну палочку нашій Наталці Лупу п’ятою, але близько до четвертої позиції. Вихованка Анатолія Якимчука і Володимира Степанова на фінішній прямій випередила німкеню і передала естафету Дарині Приступі четвертою. Дарина спершу навіть скоротила відставання від третього місця, проте зберегти цей темп протягом всієї дистанції не змогла і передала естафету Антоніні Єфремовій четвертою, але з двома переслідувачками «на плечах». Та й відстань до призової зони була вже надто великою, аби реально сподіватися на медаль. Єфремова на фінішному відрізку не втримала четверту позицію, пропустивши вперед двох конкуренток (можливо, не вистачило мотивації, аби, як кажуть, «впертися» на фініші).
