6 лютого 2011 р. у спортивному залі Мамаївського ЗНЗ І–ІІІ ступенів №2 відбулися змагання з баскетболу між юнаками 1994–1996 років народження на призи Героя України Ярослава Шведа.

У турнірі брали участь команди зі Снятина, Чернівців, Мамаївського ЗНЗ №1 та господарі змагань. Турнір став популярним, про що свідчить велика кількість уболівальників, які приходять підтримати спортсменів.

Присутніми на змаганнях були  голова районної ради В.Г.Ящук, начальник відділу освіти РДА М.І.Харатін, сільський голова С.З.Угринчук, директор ПСП «Мамаївське» Я.А.Швед, директор ПМК-311 В.І.Карвацький,  заступник голови Федерації баскетболу в області Ю.О.Барабанов, директор Кіцманської ДЮСШ І.М.Подільчук, директор Мамаївського ЗНЗ №2 С.Я.Онищук.
У запеклій боротьбі перемогу здобула збірна Чернівців, а команда Мамаївського ЗНЗ №2 посіла почесне друге місце. Замкнула трійку призерів команда Мамаївського ЗНЗ №1. Всі учасники нагороджені кубками, медалями, грамотами та баскетбольними м’ячами.
Висловлюємо щиру подяку постійному спонсору турніру Я.А.Шведу, який започаткував  змагання і вже  протягом кількох років підтримує цю гарну спортивну традицію.
