Цікаві змагання зі стрітболу серед дворових та аматорських команд відбулися 25.09.2010 р. в одному зі спальних районів Чернівців (Гравітон).

Як розповів нам голова організаційного комітету Денис Свекла, участь у змаганях взяли 6 команд. Призери отримали нагороди, а кращий гравець турніру – спеціальний кубок. Інших відзначили грамотами за участь. За словами Дениса Свекли, оргкомітет отримав немабияку підтримку з боку Чернівецької обласної громадської організації «Суспільних ініціатив» (голова – Андрій Савінов), які забезпечили медалі, кубок та грамоти, а також з боку Всеукраїнської молодіжної громадської організації «СМС» (голова обласного осередку – Альона Криштанович), які надали баскетбольні м’ячі.

Голова «Суспільних ініціатив» Андрій Савінов зазначив: «Цією акцією, разом із Денисом Свеклою, ми плануємо започаткувати цілий ряд спортивно-оздоровчих заходів, зокрема, провести змагання з настільного тенісу серед молоді нашого міста, змагання з волейболу, а навесні – зі стрітболу. Взагалі плануємо започаткувати програму «Заберемо підлітків з вулиці», в рамках якої підлітки матимуть можливість проявити себе у спорті, замість того, щоби тинятися по вулиці та вживати алкоголь».
