На Буковині вдев’яте відбувся «Олімпійський день» – з нагоди спортивного свята в центральному парку культури Ñ– відпочинку імені Шевченка організували легкоатлетичний забіг, в якому взяли участь всі бажаючі.

Шістнадцять років тому Міжнародний Олімпійський комітет заснував низку заходів з популяризації здорового способу життя. Серед них «Олімпійський день бігу». У світі існує багато пробігів, в яких беруть участь десятки тисяч бажаючих. Щось схоже вдев’яте організували і в Чернівцях. Майже сто буковинців різного віку, взяли участь у двох забігах на п’ятсот та тисячу метрів.

Серед учасників забігу були  відомі спортсмени, в т.ч. фіналістка Олімпійських ігор-88 Тетяна Мунтян. Її девіз: «У здоровому тілі здоровий дух».

Ð’ «олімпійському забігу» взяли участь Ñ– Ñ‚Ñ–, хто займається пропагандою спорту, – це викладачі кафедри фізкультури Чернівецького національного університету. Заради пропаганди вони готові змагатись навіть з найтитулованішими спортсменами.

Всі учасники «Олімпійського дня» отримали пам’ятні презенти.
