У неділю, 17.06.12, на спортивній базі туркомплексу «АКВА-ПЛЮС» (с. Кам’яна Сторожинецького району) відбулися перші на Буковині офіційні змагання з акваболу.

Співорганізаторами турніру стали обласний центр ФЗН «Спорт для всіх» та знаний тренер з рукопашного бою Іван Штефюк.

Випробувати себе у новому виді спорту виявили бажання 8 команд. На першому етапі вони змагалися у двох підгрупах.

У першому півфіналі команда Чернівецької міської федерації рукопашного боюк поступилась по пенальті 1:3 «Пляжникам», а в другому «Машзавод» здолав 3:0 «Фарт».

У матчі за 3 місце команда ЧМРБ зустрілась з «Фартом» і знову поступилась по пенальті – 0:2. А у фіналі представники «Машзаводу» у напруженій і драматичній боротьбі «дотиснули» «Пляжників» – 2:1.
