Уперше призером чемпіонату світу з настільного тенісу (паралімпійський клас-6-7) став представник Буковини Віктор Карп.

Цю приємну звістку повідомив директор обласного центру «Інваспорт» Микола Кідревич.

Відзначився вихованець Володимира Лобунова в командних змаганнях, де його партнерами були Максим Ніколенко та Михайло Попов (Запоріжжя).

У півфіналі паралімпійського чемпіонату світу 2014 (клас 6-7), який відбувся в Пекіні (Китай), українці сюрпризно переграли чемпіонів Паралімпіади англійців з рахунком 3:1, а у вирішальному двобої у напруженій і драматичній боротьбі поступились іспанцям – 2:3.

Таким чином, представник Чернівецького обласного центру «Інваспорт» Віктор Карп і Ко стали срібними призерами чемпіонату світу в класі 6-7.

Спортсмен та його наставник дякують за підтримку дирекції багатопрофільного ліцею №4 (директор – Мирослав Починок), де їм дають можливість тренуватися в спортзалі, а також голові обласної федерації настільного тенісу Вадиму Наголі, який давно підтримує талановитих тенісистів.

Перед чемпіонатом світу Віктор Карп встиг відзначитися і на інших змаганнях. Зокрема, на «Thailand Open 2014» він переміг в команді разом з Михайлом Поповим, а індивідуально потрапив до першої вісімки.

На «Romania International Table Tennis Open 2014) чернівчанин в команді був другим в класі 8-9, а індивідуально – бронзовим призером в класі 7. А торік на «Slovakia Open Bronze» буковинець в командних змаганнях піднявся на третю сходинку п’єдесталу пошани в класі 7.
