Перший «Олімпійський кабінет» відкрили у середу, 30.10.13, у Чернівецькому національному університету ім. Ю. Федьковича.

«Олімпійський кабінет» облаштували на факультеті фізичної культури та здоров’я людини. Урочисто відкрили його найтитулованіший буковинський спортсмен, учасник трьох Олімпіад Іван Гешко, заступник голови обласного відділення НОК України Віталій Омельянчук, декан факультету фізичної культури та здоров’я людини, кандидат педагогічних наук, доцент Ярослав Зорій, голова обласного відділення Олімпійської академії України Юрій Ячнюк. А заступник останнього в академії Ярослав Галан був в якості ведучого. Почесні гості зазначили, що відкриття «Олімпійського кабінету» не лише приємна подія для факультету, а й практична і корисна складова навчального процесу для майбутніх фахівців сфери фізичної культури і спорту. А декан факультету Ярослав Зорій висловив побажання, щоби подібні кабінети були і на інших факультетах та в інших навчальних закладах, враховуючи важливість просвітницької роботи щодо успіхів буковинських спортсменів та пропаганди молоді олімпійських ідеалів серед учнівської.

Після відкриття «Олімпійського кабінету» відбувся брейн-ринг на спортивну тематику між командами різних курсів, присвячений 5-річному ювілею факультету фізичної культури та здоров’я людини. Ініціатор Ñ– головний організатор брейн-рингу – завідувач кафедри здоров’я людини, рекреації та фітнесу Юрій Мосейчук.
