Три призових місця вибороли українці на етап Світового виклику з легкої атлетики, який відбувся 9.06.13 у Марокко (м. Рабат).

 

Богдан Бондаренко (30.08.89, Харків) виграв стрибки у висоту (2 м 28 см), Ганна Князева (25.09.1989, Київ) 120809-OI-800-pivfinal-zabig1-Lupu-predst3виграла потрійний стрибок (14 м 29 см), Ганна Тітімець (05.03.89, Дніпропетровськ) була другою на 400 м з/б (56,02).

А ось цьогорічна чемпіонка Європи з бігу на 800 м в приміщенні буковинка Наталія Лупу (04.11.1987, СК «Гешко», ШВСМ, тренери – Анатолій Якимчук, Володимир Степанов, офіційний партнер – готель «Буковина») зупинилась на своїй коронній дистанції за крок до п’єдесталу пошани. Кількома днями раніше новоселицька чернівчанка, виступаючи хворою, на Командному Чемпіонаті України в Ялті пропустила вперед Ольгу Ляхову (18.03.1992, Полтавська, Донецька). Наставник Наталки Анатолій Якимчук вважав, що не варто їхати до Марокко, але півфіналістка Олімпіади-2012 вирішила перевірити, як буде бігтися у такому фізичному стані. І пробігла доволі непогано – з результатом 2.01,54 фінішувала у Рабаті четвертою після Єкатерини Поістогової (Росія) – 1.59,80, Сіхам Хілалі (Марокко) – 2.00,20 та Єкатерини Купіної (Росія) – 2.00,45. Ольга Ляхова у фінішних «розборах» посіла 5 місце – 2.01,63.
