33 олімпійці, в т.ч. призери Юнацьких Олімпійських ігор та Чемпіонату світу, у суботу, 16.02.13, побувають на Буковині.

 

Через Чернівецьку область українська делегація їде на ХІ зимовий Європейський юнацький олімпійський фестиваль, який стартує у неділю, 17.02.13, в Румунії (Брашов).

Юних олімпійців, як повідомив заступник голови обласного відділення НОК України Віталій Омельянчук, зустрінуть на кордоні між Чернівецькою та Івано-Франківської областями. У Чернівцях офіційна частина проводів відбудеться у Центрі розваг «Панорама-Чернівці» об 11:00. Там же наша делегація пообідає, після чого вирушить до Румунії. Буковинців у збірній немає, оскільки, як відомо, зимові олімпійські види спорту у нас не розвинуті на такому рівні, щоби мати учасників таких представницьких змагань.

У програмі найпрестижніших юнацьких європейських змагань, як нагадує офіційний сайт НОК (noc-ukr.org), близько тисячі юних спортсменів віком від 14 до 17 років з 45 країн Європи розіграють нагороди у 8 видах спорту – гірські лижі, біатлон, лижі, стрибки на лижах з трампліна, сноубординг, фігурне катання (одиночники), хокей і шорт-трек.

Українська команда нараховує 33 олімпійці, які виступлять в усіх видах програми, крім хокею. В складі нашої збірної – вже й титуловані спортсмени: срібні призери І зимових Юнацьких Олімпійських ігор-2012 в Інсбруку Ярослав Паніот (фігурне катання) та Марія Долгополова (шорт-трек), а також біатлоністи Анастасія Меркушина та Антон Мигда, які в січні на юніорському чемпіонаті світу в індивідуальних гонках стали бронзовими призерами.

ЄЮОФ – найпрестижніші змагання Європи, які проводяться під егідою Європейських Олімпійських Комітетів кожні два роки в неолімпійський рік – взимку та влітку протягом одного року.
