Відкритий льодовий майданчик з безкоштовним прокатом ковзанів відкриють у суботу, 15.12.12, на Соборній площі у Чернівцях.

Відкриття заплановане на 16:30.
Наразі йдуть роботи з облаштування відкритої і безкоштовної ковзанки, за роботу якої відповідає власник «Льодового майданчика» біля стадіону «Буковина» Павло Польовий. За його словами, австрійське холодильне обладнання може забезпечити роботу ковзанки за температури повітря до 15 градусів тепла. Головна проблема – прямі сонячні промені.
Ковзанка на Соборній площі (перед пам’ятником визволителям), за попередніми даними, повинна була мати розміри 40х10 м. Фактично ж довжина становить 39 м, а ширина в одному кінці 10 м, а в іншому – 9.
Поруч встановлені два дерев’яні будиночки. В одному буде функціонувати безкоштовний прокат ковзанів (приблизно півтори сотні, але б. у.), а в іншому – кафе.
Цей відкритий льодовий майданчик на Соборній площі – подарунок чернівчанам та гостям міста від міської влади та мільярдера Дмитра Фірташа.
