Розвиток спорту в Чернівцях, схоже, стає невпинним процесом. І це не може не радувати, адже дітлахи мають можливість обрати в житті правильний шлях і присвятити його пануванню позитивних емоцій, невід’ємно пов’язаних із спортом.

Відповідно, в нашому місті більшає офіційних спортивних організацій. І ось 17 березня 2011 року безперечно увійде в історію розвитку зимових видів спорту на Буковині. Саме цього дня було офіційно зареєстровано Чернівецький обласний осередок Української Федерації фігурного катання на ковзанах. Сталося те, про що багато поколінь чернівчан навіть і не мріяли. Нарешті, і Чернівці долучилися до світу одного з найвидовищніших та найцікавіших видів спорту, оскільки за наявності осередку національної федерації в серці Буковини тепер можуть проводитися різноманітні офіційні змагання з фігурного катання. Зауважимо, що президентом Чернівецького обласного осередку Української Федерації фігурного катання на ковзанах є директор «Льодового майданчику» та президент хокейного клубу «Чернівецькі пінгвіни» Павло Польовий.

Юні чернівчани вже встигли відзначитися на деяких турнірах з фігурного катання, в тому числі і в інших містах України, і це свідчить про наявність у нас чималого потенціалу. Тож, як кажуть, в добрий час!
